"I came around the left side -- the tackle held me; it was one of the holding calls," Freeney recalled. "And I felt something kind of pop in my quad."

Freeney, who has four sacks this season, left for the locker room and did not return.

He said it's too soon to tell how badly the quad muscle is injured.

The Colts defense sacked Kurt Warner four times and pressured him 12 times in their Week 3 game. Losing Freeney for any extended period of time would obviously be a substantial blow to the Colts.
