Frank Gore (RB) - One of fantasy’s most valuable players had to leave the game yesterday very early, he twisted an ankle and early reports suggest two weeks at least.
Fantasy Injuries from Week 3
From Niners Nation:
The big injury was to Frank Gore. As Persiflage stated in the recap thread, an NFL Network person is reporting it's a high ankle sprain, although nobody can confirm that one yet. High ankle sprain usually means 3-4 week absence, but even if it's just a simple ankle sprain, the odds of Gore playing against St. Louis next week can't be good.
Dwight Freeney (IDP) - Freeney felt “something pop” in his quad on a play in last night’s win. He will undergo an MRI today.
From Stampede Blue:
From Fan House’s Nancy Gay: “Colts president Bill Polian had a concerned look on his face as he waited for Freeney to finish a television interview. Polian accompanied his standout pass rusher out of the locker room and directed him toward a waiting golf cart. Freeney loaded his bags onto the cart and he was driven to the Colts’ team bus.”
Chad Pennington (QB) - Had to leave the game with shoulder injury. It was Pennington’s surgically-repaired shoulder and sources are already reporting him doubtful for next week.
Kevin Smith (RB) - Smith was having a very good game in helping the Lions to their first win in a long time, but he left the game in the second half with a shoulder injury.
Marc Bulger (QB) - Bulger left the game in the first quarter with a shoulder injury and didn’t return.
Albert Haynesworth (IDP) - The big man busted up his hip and had to sit out the second half of the game.
