Elsewhere↵in our web of basketball knowledge, you'll find comprehensive team↵previews by experts intimately acquainted with what makes these NBA↵teams tick, where they've been, and what might be next for them. So why↵another set of previews? Because sometimes, it's worth listening to↵your crazy uncle about that broken leg before you take a second trip to↵the doctor's office.↵
↵
↵We've all learned to spell Prokhorov, which in itself says a lot; I↵still can't get the name of a certain spiky-haired Warrior big man↵right, and he's a double-double machine. And there's every reason to↵believe that this sale, coupled with a Brooklyn move that will come↵true, makes the Nets a major force in the saga of 2010.↵But what about next year? With Vince Carter no more, Devin Harris the↵main course, and a roster that looks like a lottery team headed in the↵wrong direction, the Nets need to give us reasons to not just talk↵about them in the future tense.↵
↵
↵Most Likely Breakout: How about, Devin Harris gets↵even better, staying hot most of the season, tightening up his↵long-range game and connecting the dots to make him a legit point↵guard? He'll never be on Chris Paul or Deron Williams's level, but is↵it a given that Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo will be greater↵contributors to the PG renaissance? So maybe he's low on teammates this↵season; that benefits both Harris's explosiveness as a scorer and gives↵him the chance to prove his savvy as playmaker. Right now, he's an↵extremely gifted guard; a year from now, Devin Harris could be a↵franchise player. Right before they go and sign two more.
