During a short interview on ESPN2’s “First Take” on Tuesday morning, former-NFL-running-back-turned-MMA-fighter Herschel Walker shrugged off concerns about his age, said he predicted early on that Brock Lesnar would be champion of the world and offered to fight UFC President Dana White for charity.↵
↵
↵“Dana always tells people to put their money where their mouth is,” Walker said, in response to questions about White’s criticism of the Strikeforce promotion recently signing the 47-year-old footballer to fight contract. “I tell Dana if he thinks I’m so old, why doesn’t he step in the ring with me? He’s been practicing (MMA) as well. So maybe Dana and I can give all the money to charity.”↵
↵
↵Among other things, Walker also told host Jay Crawford that he would be willing to fight (and defeat) any and all of the competitors on the current season of the UFC’s popular reality show “The Ultimate Fighter,” which features heavyweights. ↵
↵
↵“I’ll put dimes to donuts, all the heavyweights on his show right now, I will beat,” Walker said, “That’s pretty easy to say.”
