The Rangers continue the last minute scramble to add to their relatively thin blueline. Andrew Gross of Ranger Rants reports today that New York has signed towering journeyman defender Alexei Semenov to a one-year deal.
Semenov Signs with Rangers
Semenov has bounced around the NHL over the course of his career, never really fulfilling the promise his six-foot-six frame and second round draft position suggested. He spent the last two years in San Jose, appearing in in 69 games, recording 12 points in a limited role.
