In the heat of their wild card playoff push, the Associated Press report Red Sox right hander Daisuke Matsuzaka will have an additional rehab start for either Class-A Salem or Greenville on Wednesday.
Dice-K to Make Class-A Rehab Start
Matsuzaka, an 18-game winner last season, has been on the disabled list since June 21 with a right shoulder strain. He allowed a pair of solo homers in 4 1/3 innings during a rehab start for Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday.
Matsuzaka is 1-5 with an 8.23 ERA in eight starts for the Red Sox, who faced the White Sox in Chicago on Sunday.
The Red Sox are currently three games ahead of the Texas Rangers in the wild card race.
