What I liked best about the news that Yankee shortstop and venerable bachelor Derek Jeter is getting hitched to Minka Kelly is that the wedding was scheduled around the World Series. Even now, Jeter still has his priorities in check.

↵↵After months of speculation that the Yankees’ hunk and his sexy steady Minka Kelly are headed to the altar, The Post has learned that the super couple may have settled on a wedding date -- Nov. 5.
↵And while it may bring little solace to Jeter’s legion of female admirers, fretful Yankees fans will be glad to note the date is at least two days after the World Series ends.
↵↵The New York Post’s tactics for finding out the news were something right out of Who’s Harry Crumb? One of their reporters pretended to be interested in booking a wedding around that time at Long Island’s Oheka Castle and came across Jeter’s name on the schedule. I can only pray that a fake mustache was involved.
