Tucson, AZ (Sports Network) - Jamelle Horne scored 22 points to lead Arizona in an 87-70 victory over No. 24 Washington at McKale Center.

Isaiah Thomas poured in 18 points for the Huskies (10-5, 1-3), who have lost three in a row. That includes a 17-point defeat at Arizona State on Friday.

Thomas hit a jumper to get the Huskies within 45-41 with 14 1/2 minutes left in the game, but the Wildcats pulled away by scoring the ensuing seven points, capped by a three-point play from Jones. The double-digit difference remained the rest of the way.

Arizona, which never trailed, gained an early 13-3 lead following a three-ball from Horne. The Wildcats held a 37-27 edge at the half due in part to great defense. The Huskies shot 9-of-27 from the field in the opening 20 minutes.

Five of Arizona’s next seven games will be on the road, a place that the Wildcats are just 3-12 since the start of the 2008-09 campaign...Arizona is 25-6 in series games against the Huskies in games played in Tucson.
