Today has been quite a day for early draft entrants. The latest name to join the fray might be the biggest.
Possible top 10 pick Rolando McClain enters NFL Draft
Alabama middle linebacker Rolando McClain announced at a 1:30 p.m. news conference that he will skip his senior season and enter the 2010 NFL Draft. McClain, arguably the best linebacker in the nation, could be a top 10 pick.
In 2009, McClain led the Crimson Tide with 105 tackles, 53 of them solo. That goes along with 14.5 tackles for a loss, 14 quarterback hurries, six passes defended, four pass breakups, four sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble.
McClain is the epitome of an all-around linebacker. He’s big, athletic and intelligent. A consensus All-American and team captain, McClain won the Butkus Award for his 2009 efforts.
Look for a scouting report on McClain sometime later this week.
