Evan Dunham Upsets Efrain Escudero With Third Round Armbar

Season eight Ultimate Fighter champion Efrain Escudero was submitted by undefeated Evan Dunham via third round armbar at

UFC

Fight Night 20. Similar to the Aaron Simpson fight with Tom Lawlor, Escudero was able to dominate the stand-up early and appeared close to finishing the fight with strikes. In the second round Dunham was able to find a takedown and even work from Escudero’s back, landing several hard punches.In the third round Efrain was close to finishing the fight with a guillotine but Dunham found a way to escape and get a takedown of his own. From there he took Escudero’s back and transitioned to an armbar. Efrain refused to tap for far too long and suffered an injured arm due to the fight-finishing submission. Escudero was on his back in pain for several minutes after the fight and was taken to the back prior to the official decision, likely with a broken arm.
