LenDale White Needs New Home, Also New Belt

↵↵TMZ caught LenDale White sauntering out of a Hollywood club over the weekend, pants drooped halfway down his legs. The gossip rags then cracked wise about the possibility that the once hefty running back’s Patron-free diet worked too well. Even if he did look a little inebriated at the moment.↵
↵↵More interesting for our purposes is what LenDale told the gossip mongers: After saying he believed what were then unconfirmed reports of Pete Carroll leaving USC for the Seattle Seahawks, the running back then said “Tell Pete to hire me.”↵
↵↵Not surprising that LenDale would want to play again for his former college coach so much as making that known when he most likely won’t have the opportunity for at least another year.↵
↵
↵After all, he's a restricted free agent this offseason, meaning the Titans have the ability to sign him to a one-year deal or match the offer that any of club makes him. Even though, barring injury, LenDale won't challenge Chris Johnson for right to be the team's top rusher, he's still a useful component for the offense in short yardage situations and late in the game.↵
↵↵Though his name was initially floated as a candidate for Carroll’s replace at USC, Jeff Fisher has declined the invite, signaling that Tennessee’s approach probably won’t change dramatically for the coming year. LenDale is a brash guy who makes his feelings known, and while his coaches won’t be thrilled with him making his dissatisfaction with his role public, they probably won’t grant him his complete freedom either.↵
