John Beilein Agrees To Contract Extension Through 2016

University of Michigan basketball coach John Belein has reportedly agreed to a contract extension that will keep him in Ann Arbor through the 2015-2016 season, according to the Detroit Free-Press. The contract will include pay raises that will have him drawing a salary of 1.9 million by 2013.

All of this comes on the heels of the Wolverines latest loss to Northwestern and in the middle of a very disappointing season for Michigan, which was ranked in the preseason but is now struggling at 8-7. The extension is probably a reward for Beilein taking Michigan to its first NCAA tournament in 11 seasons last year.
