MMA Weekly has confirmed that Eliot Marshall vs. Vladimir Matyushenko and Duane “Bang” Ludwig vs. Spencer Fisher have both been added to the March 21 UFC event to be shown on Versus.

Matyushenko has gone 10-1 since losing to Andrei Arlovski at UFC 44 in September of 2003, the majority of the wins coming in the now defunct IFL. Vlad’s lone loss during that time was to top ten light heavyweight Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at Affliction: Day of Reckoning. He made a triumphant return to the UFC last September with a decision win over Igor Pokrajac and was set to face Steve Cantwell at the injury plagued UFC 108 only to see an injured Cantwell pull out of the fight.
Eliot Marshall has been very successful since losing to Ryan Bader on his season of The Ultimate Fighter. Since the TV show Marshall has put up a 3-0 UFC record, most recently winning a split decision over Jason Brilz at UFC 103.
The Duane Ludwig vs. Spencer Fisher bout promises to be an exciting one between two of the hardest hitting lightweights in the promotion. Both Fisher (23-5, 8-4 UFC) and Ludwig (18-9, 2-1 UFC) prefer to settle things on the feet and it’d be a surprise if this one doesn’t end with someone out cold on the ground.
