Sergei Gonchar and Cal Clutterbuck had a dustup of sorts in the Penguins/Wild game on Monday night. Gonchar took a five minute major for elbowing after hitting Clutterbuck in the head. Clutterbuck suffered a cut on the nose and the Wild did not end up scoring on the power play. After the game, Clutterbuck had this to say about Gonchar:
Cal Clutterbuck Puts A Hit Of Sorts On Sergei Gonchar
↵↵“He better hope he retires at the end of the year, I’ll tell you that,” Clutterbuck said, a cut on the bridge of his nose. “Somebody’s going to hurt him before the end of the year. Someone will. It’s not going to be me, but someone will.”
↵↵That essentially is a bounty of sorts on Gonchar. While I understand that Clutterbuck was upset over the hit, isn’t it a little over the top for Clutterbuck to go that far with his comments.
