Manhattan, KS (Sports Network) - Denis Clemente scored a game-high 24 points with six assists and Jamar Samuels netted 19 points, as No. 13 Kansas State cruised past Texas A&M, 88-65, in Big 12 conference action.

Jacob Pullen donated 15 points and Dominique Sutton notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds for Kansas State (14-2, 1-1 Big 12), which came back from a six-point loss to Missouri in its league opener on Saturday.

Khris Middleton posted 16 points and seven rebounds while Bryan Davis added 13 points for Texas A&M (12-4, 1-1), which had won three straight coming into Tuesday's tilt.

The Wildcats won their 13th straight game at home with a resounding team effort on both ends of the floor, holding Texas A&M to 36.4 percent shooting and leading by as many as 24.

A 13-6 scoring stretch capped by a Samuels trey opened a 31-20 lead with just over seven minutes left in the first half. The edge grew to 15 points at 39-24 on Samuels’ layup several minutes later, and Kansas State held a 45-33 lead at the half.

The Aggies saw any chance of a comeback fall by the wayside with a cold shooting start to the second half. Texas A&M’s first field goal of the second half came on Davis’ bucket with 14:21 on the clock. At that point, the Wildcats held a 56-39 lead, and that margin grew to 61-39 on a Clemente layup moments later.

Kansas State cruised to the finish line from there.

After making just 3-of-21 from beyond the arc versus Nebraska, Texas A&M again struggled from long distance, connecting on 2-of-17...Clemente made 5-of-12 from three-point range...Kansas State made 47.5 percent of its shots in the victory...The Wildcats hold a 15-6 edge in the all-time series, including victories in all nine home games.
