African Cup Runneth Over With Upsets

When the African Cup of Nations began with the shocking 4-4 draw between Angola and Mali, it was just the beginning of what has been a strange soccer tournament.

↵Of the four World Cup qualifiers that have played so far, none have wins. Algeria lost, Nigeria lost, Ivory Coast earned a draw and today four-time African champion Cameroon got bit, losing to Gabon 1-0 on Wednesday night. Cameroon has been considered a favorite to win the tournament while Gabon is ranked 62nd in the world.

↵It’s been that kind of Cup.
