Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Chris Wright tallied a game-best 21 points to go along with seven assists and four steals, while Jason Clark poured in a career-high 20 points, as No. 11 Georgetown rolled to an 85-73 victory over Seton Hall at the Verizon Center.

The major key to victory was shutting down Jeremy Hazell, who scored five of his team-best 17 points in the final minute when the game was well in hand. Jeff Robinson was the only other player in double figures with 10 points for the Pirates (10-6, 1-4 Big East).

Austin Freeman held the Hoyas' (13-2, 4-1) cause with 16 points and Julian Vaughn added 13 points. Greg Monroe scored eight points with eight rebounds in the victory.

The Pirates went just over six minutes without a field goal at one stage in the first 20 minutes as the Hoyas recorded 15 straight points to take a 21-7 edge. Wright scored six of the spurt’s last 10 points, including back-to-back layups for the 14-point advantage.

Georgetown scored the last four points of the half with Freeman’s bucket opening a 44-28 halftime lead.

The lead grew to 19 several times in the early moments of the second half, the last at 59-40 on Vaughn’s layup with just under 13 minutes to play. The Pirates responded with 10 straight capped by Ferrakohn Hall’s layup for a 59-50 game, and Keon Lawrence’s layup moments later trimmed the deficit to eight.

Seton Hall got as close as seven at 61-54 on another Lawrence layup with just under eight minutes to play, but the Hoyas quickly pushed the advantage back into double digits thanks to Clark’s trey for a 68-56 game.

Georgetown rolled to victory from there.

Georgetown leads the all-time series, 53-39...Hazell came into the contest averaging 23.3 points per game...The Hoyas made 69.8 percent of their shots for the night, the second best field goal percentage during the John Thompson III era.
