‘Deeeeuuuuuucccceeee’ Chants Will Join Cries of ‘Who Dat’ Against Cardinals

↵↵In what has to be one of the most bizarre player signings to occur a day before a playoff game, the Saints have brought back running back Deuce McAllister. (UPDATE: The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports McAllister will be inactive, but lead the team onto the field.) The team released its all-time leading rusher in the offseason. McAllister has been embroiled in the StarCaps scandal for taking diet pills that could be used to mask steroid use.↵
↵↵However, the league has had disciplinary suspensions levied against users of the pills overturned by the courts, so until another appeal changes that, McAllister can play. At least in theory. Teams haven’t exactly been beating down the door to get a back who’s had multiple knee surgeries over the past few years.↵
↵
↵↵If anything, Deuce just might be one more thing to get the Superdome crowd fired up. Though if a rare home playoff game isn’t enough to inspire the Saints into a fever pitch, it’s questionable how much more an aged running back possibly could. ↵
