Let’s Hope This Isn’t the Last of Kurt Warner

⇥⇥⇥⇥⇥⇥

Bobby McCray delivered this vicious -- though legal -- hit to Kurt Warner after a second-quarter interception. Warner stayed down for a moment, is out with a chest injury, and has since been replaced by Matt Leinart.

Warner is set to retire at the end of this season. Obviously, this is not how most would like for Warner’s sterling career to end, myself included; let’s hope he gets a chance to lead an Arizona comeback in the second half.

Update: It’s not. Warner came out as the Cardinals’ quarterback for the first series of the second half. The last we saw of him was some nondescript series in the 45-14 rout.
