Ohio State Looks To Avenge Early Big Ten Loss At No. 13 Wisconsin
Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - David Lighty scored 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, and the Ohio State Buckeyes made another move back toward a national ranking with a 60-51 win over 13th-ranked Wisconsin.
Evan Turner continued to help the Buckeyes (13-5, 3-3 Big Ten) since his return to the court, scoring 15 points in the team's third win in four games. Turner is still recovering from a broken back suffered earlier this season that forced him to miss six games; Ohio State was ranked 15th at the time of his injury and went 3-3 while he was out to fall out of the Top 25.
William Buford contributed seven points and 12 rebounds in the win, as the Buckeyes earned a split of their two meetings this season with Wisconsin.
Trevon Hughes had 18 points to lead Wisconsin (14-4, 4-2), which fell to 2-3 on the road this season. The Badgers were playing without one of their top scorers, Jon Leuer, who broke his wrist against Purdue on January 9 and is out indefinitely. Leuer is the team's second leading scorer and had 11 points when Wisconsin beat Ohio State on New Year's Eve.
Jason Bohannon added 10 points for the Badgers, who had won eight of nine coming into the game.
