No. 2 Kentucky Survives Trip To Auburn, Remains Unbeaten

Auburn, AL (Sports Network) - DeMarcus Cousins posted 16 points and 11 rebounds, as second-ranked Kentucky survived a tough test from Auburn to remain undefeated by taking a 72-67 decision at Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.

John Wall and Eric Bledsoe had 13 points each and Patrick Patterson added 12 points to the balanced attack as the Wildcats (18-0, 3-0 SEC) continued the program's best start since 1966.

Kentucky shot 51.2 percent from the field and overcame 17 turnovers with Cousins and Wall combining to score the final eight points to secure a close win.

DeWayne Reed went for a game-best 19 points and six assists for the Tigers (9-9, 0-3), who have lost three straight games to open their conference schedule. Frankie Sullivan chipped in 15 points and Lucas Hargrove 10 in defeat.
