Video: The Stupendous Hockey Goal of the Young Decade
FanHouse’s Adam Gretz writes that this goal, which goes from the Victoria Salmon Kings’ Scott Howes to Dirk Southern (yes, really) to Howes to Adam Taylor may be the ECHL goal of the year. Now, I had to look up what ECHL stood for, and hockey’s not my favorite sport, but I’ll go one further: This is the hockey goal of the decade.
Okay, yes, it’s a copout: I’m only referring to this three-week-old decade. But it’s clear that this goal, which happens only after three separate instances of the puck going through a defender’s legs, is a thing of beauty.
The Salmon Kings beat the Bakersfield Condors 6-3 in the game, which went the distance after the Condors refused to forfeit and bask in the goal’s glory, and ... you’re watching the video again, aren’t you? I don’t blame you.
