Back in November Dan Turkenkopf wrote an article over at The Hardball Times showing the HR/FB tendencies for each major league ballpark. Here is the link to the article posted by Dan:
Fantasy Baseball: Park Home Run Per Fly Ball (HR/FB) Factors
Fantasy leaguers should pay more attention to the 4-Year average rather than the 2009 results, but I would not discount the results for Yankee Stadium. Yankee hitters should move up positional rankings as a result of how that ballpark played in 2009. Alex Rodriguez hit 30 home runs in 2009, and he missed some time due to hip surgery.
I would also focus on how the HR/FB at Coors Field dropped in 2009 to a factor of 103 compared to its 4-year average of 112. The humidor effect is the main reason for the drop in home runs. As a result, I wouldn’t expect Troy Tulowitzki to hit 30 HRs in 2010, but I would move some of the Rockies pitchers up a few notches.
