While eating dinner, I happened to watch tonight’s episode of Pardon the Interruption on my generic DVR.
Northwestern Basketball Isn’t Backing Up Mike Wilbon With Their Play
↵The pre-SportsCenter portion of the show closed with Northwestern alum Mike Wilbon chastising ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi for not including the Wildcats in his Monday bracket projection, following their big home win over then-No. 6 Purdue.
↵(For the record, I didn’t include the Wildcats in my Monday projection either.)
↵Northwestern is playing at 21st-ranked Ohio State tonight, and so far they haven’t exactly bolstered their case for a bid or made Mike Wilbon very happy.
↵The Wildcats were down 40-17 at halfime, after hitting only four of the 22 field goals they attempted in the half.
↵Yep, shooting 18 percent from the floor for a half is a great way to build your case to go dancing in March. Just prepare to be disappointed with the ball to which you’re actually invited.
↵Update: The Wildcats didn’t get it together in the second half. They fell to Ohio State, 76-56.
