Patrik Elias Officially Out With Concussion Like Symptoms

After being cleared initially following the hit, Patrik Elias has been put on injured reserve with concussion like symptoms. Elias was taken off the ice on Saturday night after being hit by Ryan Wilson.

While Elias is not being diagnosed with a concussion, he is experiencing some head and neck pain and was told by doctors on Tuesday to lay off physical activity until those subside. Here is what Elias has to say about the situation:

“I believe that my head and neck pain will lessen in the next few days and I’ll be able to join the team soon and continue preparing for the Olympics in Vancouver.”

The Devils have fallen to third in the Eastern Conference and have lost their last two games with Elias out of the lineup.
