Trail Blazers 98, 76ers 90: Miller’s 24 Leads the Blazers To Victory
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Former Sixer Andre Miller tied a season- high with 24 points, as the Portland Trail Blazers overcame the early departure of Brandon Roy to take a 98-90 victory over Philadelphia.
Roy had missed Portland’s last two games with a right hamstring injury and started Wednesday’s contest, but was on the court for just over 18 minutes and did not play in the second half after aggravating the injury.
Roy, the Blazers’ leading scorer, finished with 10 points, and was picked up by Miller, who spent two-plus seasons with the Sixers before signing with the Blazers last July. Wednesday’s game was his first back in Philadelphia.
LaMarcus Aldridge added 23 points and nine rebounds, while second-year guard Jerryd Bayless had 18 points off the bench for the Blazers, who have won three of four.
Andre Iguodala had 23 points to pace the Sixers, who have lost three of four. Samuel Dalembert recorded 15 rebounds and 10 points after returning from his native earthquake-ravaged Haiti earlier Wednesday.
