If you’ve been following all of the goings-on in Tennessee’s men’s basketball and football programs since New Year’s Day, you’re probably now familiar with Wes Rucker of the Chattanooga Times Free Press and his fine work reporting on everything Vol.
Don’t You Dare Keep Wayne Chism From Waffle House After Practice
↵
I know it's only January 21, but Rucker has given us what may very well hold up as quote of the year, if not decade, via his Twitter feed.
↵After Tennessee basketball’s practice late this afternoon, Rucker was talking to the Vols’ second-leading scorer and top rebounder, Wayne Chism, who was ready for dinner.
↵↵WayneChism: “Every second I’m talking to you is another second I’m not at Waffle House.”
↵↵So, members of the media, if you do decide to engage Chism in conversation after practice or game, at any point in the future, remember that he’s probably hungry and is ready for some hash browns.
↵But before you do let him go, follow-up by asking how he likes his hash browns. The world must know if Chism wants them smothered, covered or all the way.
