ECU To Name Texas Tech’s Ruffin McNeill New Head Coach

You may remember him as Mr. Sweatypants on the sidelines at the Alamo Bowl (see below), but at East Carolina they will be calling him Coach Sweatypants from now on. Ruffin McNeill, former Texas Tech defensive coordinator and interim head coach for the Red Raiders’ victory over Michigan State in the Alamo Bowl, will be named as the new head man at East Carolina following the departure of Skip Holtz to USF.

McNeill, an ECU alumni, has 23 years of college experience, but the job at East Carolina will be his first experience as a head coach without the interim tag. As a fellow profuse sweater, I congratulate McNeill on his success, and recommend additional undershirts to prevent unsightly spotting while on camera.
