Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Loui Eriksson scored the only goal of the shootout as the Dallas Stars took a 4-3 win over Calgary as the Flames are on their longest losing streak in 11 years.

In the third round, Eriksson slipped a low backhand between the pads and around the pokecheck of Miikka Kiprusoff. Alex Auld then stopped Jarome Iginla's wrister to seal the win.

Mike Modano, James Neal and Brad Richards each scored in regulation for the Stars, who have won four of six. Auld made 23 saves and stopped all three shooters in the shootout.

Iginla had a goal and an assist while Dion Phaneuf and Olli Jokinen each had a goal for the Flames, who have lost eight straight for the first time since December 22, 1998-January 5, 1999. Kiprusoff made 33 stops.

Trailing by a goal and skating on a 5-on-3 power play in the third, the Stars tied the game as Richards’ one-timer from the inside right circle hit off of two bodies in front and got past Kiprusoff at the 7:35 mark.

Dallas took a 1-0 lead just 3:58 into the game as Modano’s slap shot from the left circle found the right corner of the net for his 10th goal of the season.

Calgary, though, scored a pair of power-play goals separated by just 23 seconds to take a 2-1 lead as Phaneuf scored on a slap shot for his 10th goal of the season and, moments later, Iginla tallied his 22nd goal of the season to give his team the lead.

At the 11:37 mark of the second, the Flames took a 3-1 lead as Iginla blasted a slap shot from the left point that was eventually jammed in by Jokinen.

However, the Stars cut their deficit to one with 24 seconds to play in the second as Stephane Robidas' slap-pass from the right point was tipped in by Neal in front.

Calgary plays in Phoenix on Thursday...Iginla hadn’t scored a goal in his previous 11 games. His assist on the Jokinen goal was the 466th of his career, tying him with Theo Fleury for second all-time on the club...Dallas hosts Colorado on Friday...Dallas has won two of three against Calgary this season.
