The proper height for a tennis net is 36 inches at the center strap and 42 inches at the posts, measurements that could be extended to infinity and Andy Murray still wouldn’t care -- he hits his winners around the net anyway:

↵That wasn’t just some brilliant, yet meaningless highlight reel shot. That winner, on the full stretch, around the net post, came while Murray was serving for the match in the Australian Open semifinals. As you may have guessed after watching that video, Murray did go on to defeat Marin Cilic.
