Eniel Polynice donated 14 points and five assists, while Terrance Henry chipped in nine points and 10 rebounds for the Rebels (16-4, 4-2 SEC), who have won three in a row.
Tay Waller led Auburn (10-11, 1-5) with 21 points and DeWayne Reed added 15 points and seven assists. Lucas Hargrove added 11 points and eight boards in defeat.
After holding a five-point lead at 34-29 late in the first half, Ole Miss was blitzed by a late Tigers flurry. Seven straight points capped by Frankie Sullivan's trey gave the home team a 36-34 edge. The Tigers held on to a 41-38 lead after 20 minutes of game action.
A five-point second-half lead evaporated quickly on an 11-2 spurt by the visitors. Two Warren jumpers and a bucket by White capped the flurry for a 51-47 advantage.
Ty Armstrong's slam halfway through the second half squared the contest at 57, but Ole Miss answered and took a six-point lead at 66-61 when Murphy Holloway converted from in tight. The edge grew to nine, 74-65, on back-to- back treys by White and Henry, and few moments later, White's layup capped a 10-0 spurt for a 78-65 lead. The visitors held on from there.
Ole Miss made a scorching 65.4 percent of its shots in the second half, including 4-of-5 threes after making just 3-of-12 in the first half...Auburn grabbed 16 offensive rebounds to help offset a 36.5 percent shooting night...The game featured seven ties and six lead changes...Auburn still leads the all-time series, 71-48.
