As a Georgetown fan, I’ve been pretty geeked up for Saturday’s home game against Duke. The Hoyas have been coming together recently (notwithstanding the beatdown Syracuse administered on Monday), and the Verizon Center is a whole other beast when it sells out; there’s actually atmosphere. Oh, and beating Duke is pretty sweet too.
Barack Obama To Attend Georgetown-Duke Game

But when I got this email Friday morning, I got even more excited: ↵↵↵↵↵↵↵↵↵↵
↵↵[We] strongly encourage you to arrive at Verizon Center at least forty five minutes earlier than you normally would. As this event is sold out, and due to the number of dignitaries expected to be in attendance, there will be enhanced security
↵↵This could only mean one thing: NBA “star” Tracy McGrady would be in town for the game! While the former Rockets standout will (inexplicably) be at the Georgetown-Duke game, The Hill reports that a certain roundball-loving president will also be in tow for the clash of top ten teams (hint: it’s Barack Obama).
↵If Georgetown wins on Saturday, something tells me the Secret Service won’t be letting the students rush the court this time (not that they should, per the rules of rushing the court etiquette).
