Win or Lose, the Saints Will Go Marching On

↵↵Typically, a team organizing a post-Super Bowl parade more than a week prior to the game would be begging for the wrath of karmic forces. Remember how embarrassed the Patriots were when they had already begun setting up parade routes in advance of Super Bowl 42. Now, it appears the Saints are making the same move.↵

↵↵With one notable difference.↵

↵↵The Saints parade is not predicated on success. The size of the crowd that shows up for the thing, however, might be. Yes, New Orleans will host a parade for the team whether or not they prevail in Miami. It being New Orleans, folks will use any excuse to party, even if it’s a reminder of defeat.↵

↵↵In fact, there seems to be more controversy surrounding what fans will be wearing during the parade, now that the NFL is cracking down on any merchandise bearing Saints fans signature “Who Dat” phrase. Hardly a surprise, as the league is quick is attack knock-off apparel in general, but especially when it comes to teams contending for a title. The NFL won’t be denied reaping the biggest payday it can from celebrating fans.↵
