The Agony and Ecstasy of Shaun White

Shaun White failing to land his new signature trick, the Double McTwist 1260, is apparently big news. ESPN throws out the above video and this article to hype up him crashing on the trick.

But you know what it looks like when he lands it?

It looks awesome. And it looked awesome when he landed it in his first run in the Winter X Games halfpipe finals, securing his third straight gold medal in the event. But ESPN would rather put video of his crash atop their playlist.

You know why? It’s hotter on Google.
