Dion Phaneuf is headed to the Toronto Maple Leafs, but he won’t be making the trek across Canada alone. Heading East with him will be forward Fredrik Sjostrom and defenseman Keith Aulie.

Aulie had been playing with the Abbotsford Heat of the AHL.
Heading West to Calgary are forward Niklas Hagman, Matt Stajan, and Jamal Mayers and defenseman Ian White. It’s safe to say the deal gives the Flames the secondary scoring depth they are so desperately in need of.
There are still reports that the Anaheim Ducks are sending Jean-Sebastien Giguere to Toronto for goaltender Vesa Toskala. Giguere is now expendable in Anaheim thanks to the Ducks signing yesterday of goalie Jonas Hiller.
