No. 2 Texas 96, Arkansas 85: Offense Aplenty In Fayetteville

January 5, 2010 – Fayetteville, AR (Sports Network) – Dexter Pittman posted 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Damion James chipped in 20 and nine to lead No. 2 Texas to a 96-85 victory over Arkansas in a tough non-conference tilt.

Gary Johnson chipped in 16 points off the bench and Avery Bradley totaled 12 points to go with five assists for the Longhorns (14-0), who are off to their best start since the 1981-82 squad also won their first 14 games.

Rotnei Clarke had 24 points and Courtney Fortson, who was suspended for the first 14 games of the season for unspecified reasons, logged 19 points and seven assists for the Razorbacks (7-8), who have dropped three straight on the heels of a five-game winning streak.

Marshawn Powell and Michael Washington scored 18 and 14 points, respectively, in defeat.
