For anyone who follows the NFL and has half a functioning brain, it’s a well established fact that Bengals owner Mike Brown isn’t a big spender. The team is light in the scouting department and never makes a splash in free agency. Oh, did I mention they don’t have an indoor practice facility? Now, granted how he has run the team for roughly two decades, maybe that makes sense. I mean, January football is a foreign animal to this team, but now that they’re here, there’s this whole matter of dealing with the elements.↵
Bengals Playoff Prep: Get on the Bus!
↵

↵↵Per Enquirer scribe Joe Reedy, the Bengals are the “northernmost team in the NFL without its own practice bubble.” But the Cincinnati Bearcats could have one next year, so there’s always hope they can crash there. That still leaves them with the matter of how to deal with the cold this week. Well, just hop on the bus and head out to Wall2Wall Sports in Mason, Ohio. Yes, the Bengals are herding their players onto busses and making a 30-minute drive out to an indoor soccer facility out in the suburbs. This makes perfect sense. As Cincinnati radio host Lance McAlister wrote: “It’s playoff week ... so extra oranges slices and juice packs will be provided.” (To be fair, the place doesn’t appear to be a dump.)↵
↵↵And the Jets, well, they’re basically doing the same thing. If by the same thing, we’re saying not at all. Don’t forget, they’re in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility.↵
↵↵By no means am I saying this is what will somehow make or break the Bengals’ second home playoff game in two decades, but it’s one of those moments that underscores why, even when they win, the Bengals still have a Clippers-like stench all over them thanks to their owner.↵
