Donovan set for Everton debut

Assuming the mean ol’ weather elves don’t drop any more snowy misery on London> proper, Everton will visit the northern part of town to take on Arsenal. While the fans around the Emirates are all atwitter over talk of Cesc Fabregas packing up his European man bag and spiriting back to Spain, the talk of the Toffees is about Landon Donovan’s debut.

EFC manager David Moyes has named the American to the squad, and his chances of playing are improved by a nagging hammy injury to Louis Saha. (Saha. Hurt. Imagine that. Poor dude.)

Here is the official preview from Everton, with significant mention of Donovan’s impending debut. Here is the official preview from Arsenal.

Around our parts, the game will be little more than a rumor while it’s going on. That is, none of the EPL TV partners on our shores will show Saturday’s encounter. But highlights will be beamed around the globe, so fret not.
