↵David Warsofsky has had a pretty decent two years.

↵Since joining the Boston University hockey team last season, the guy has probably accomplished and experienced more than any other player at his level of competition. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2008 NHL Draft by the St. Louis Blues (check out this interview with Warsofsky by SBN’s St. Louis Game Time) and has been a solid rock of a defenseman as a college player, posting a plus-26 rating last season which ranked him fourth in the nation.

↵That’s personal stuff though. On a team level, Warsofsky has done it all. As a freshman in 2008/09, he won the Beanpot tournament with BU, the most famous tournament in collegiate hockey and one of the biggest events on the Boston sports calendar. He and the Terriers also won the Hockey East title and, oh, the NCAA National Championship that year too. Earlier this week, David and his Team USA buddies won the gold medal at the 2010 World Junior Championships, beating Canada who had won the previous five years. That’s kinda like the Americans besting Gunnar Stahl and Iceland in D2: The Mighty Ducks.

↵As if he needed any icing on his cake, tonight Warsofsky, a Massacusetts native, and the Terriers will be playing against arch rival Boston College in an outdoor game at Fenway Park in front of 38,000-plus people.

↵So let’s recap: drafted into the NHL, Beanpot title, Hockey East title, National Championship, World Championship, skating on a rink at Fenway Park. All in less than two years. David Warsofsky should never be allowed to complain about anything ever again.
