Back in the fall, something possessed me to pick Wisconsin eighth in the Big Ten, ahead of only Indiana, Iowa and Penn State.
Tell Me Why I Wrote Off Bo Ryan And Wisconsin Again?
What was I thinking?
The Badgers are currently 17th in the AP poll, sure to rise after knocking off fourth-ranked and formerly unbeaten Purdue, 73-66, in a game that Wisconsin took control of after halftime.
While the cast of characters may change in Madison, one thing stays the same, and that’s head coach Bo Ryan. And under him, the Badgers have the most underrated homecourt advantage in the country.
Over the past nine seasons, only Kansas and Duke have better home winning percentages than Wisconsin. Today’s win was the Badgers’ 130th home win under Bo Ryan, against only 10 losses. They’ve won 63 of 68 Big Ten home games in his tenure, and beaten 20 ranked opponents, falling only seven times in those games.
Now, the 1-2 road mark is a different story.
