NASCAR At Kansas: Blogging The Third Race Of The Chase

Get used to what you’ll be seeing on your TV screens this weekend, NASCAR fans: You’re going to be seeing a lot more of Kansas Speedway in the years to come.

Next season, NASCAR will have two races per year at Kansas. Not because the racing is so great at the cookie cutter track, but because International Speedway Corp. (the France-family controlled company that owns Kansas Speedway) is building a casino/hotel at the track.

So if you haven’t seen much of Kansas before, you’ll be seeing a lot starting in 2011 – and undoubtedly for years to come.

The storylines this weekend? It’s the third race of the Chase, and Denny Hamlin currently holds the largest lead in Chase history after two weeks.

Can Hamlin continue to build his lead and perhaps run away with his first championship, or can someone else (like Dover winner Jimmie Johnson) step up?

Our blog will give you updates, analysis and a live race chat on Sunday. Stay tuned.
