On Wednesday, Vikings quarterback Brett Favre said that if the tendinitis in his right elbow worsens, he'll consider sitting out this coming Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
Brett Favre’s Tendinitis May Bench Him Vs. Cowboys, End Consecutive Games Streak
Monday night's loss to the Jets marked Favre's 288th consecutive start, an NFL record. Tendinitis has bothered him all season, and his seven interceptions and 67.0 passer rating aren't quite up to his career standards.
The Vikings are now 1-3, good for third place in the NFC North. If Favre were to miss a game, he'd be relieved by Tarvaris Jackson, who has yet to throw a pass in the 2010 regular season.
