Early in the fourth quarter on Saturday, unranked Illinois has a chance to deliver a massive upset to No. 2 Illinois.
The Illini were able to hold the Buckeyes to a field goal, and now trail by a 17-10 score. This followed a decision by Ohio State coach Jim Tressel to go for it on a fourth-and-one in Illinois territory. Running back Dan Herron attempted to fall short of the first down, but despite a challenge from Illinois coach Ron Zook, the Buckeyes were granted a new set of downs.
Illinois has managed to remain in this game despite only accumulating 154 total offensive yards (to Ohio State’s 248).
