In Progress: Canadiens Looking For Fourth Straight Win Vs. Islanders

Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - Benoit Pouliot and Travis Moen each scored a third-period goal, lifting the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-1 victory over the New York Islanders in the back end of a home-and-home series at Nassau Coliseum.

The clubs convened at the Bell Centre on Wednesday, with Montreal earning a 5-3 win.

Tomas Plekanec added a power-play goal for the Canadiens, who have won four straight.

Alex Auld, an offseason signee, stopped 30 shots in his Canadiens debut. Carey Price had started Montreal's first nine games this season, going 6-2-1 with a 2.32 goals-against average and .913 save percentage.

Matt Martin netted his first NHL goal for the Islanders, who suffered their first regulation loss at home (2-1-1). Dwayne Roloson made 23 saves on 26 shots.
