If it's not one injury for Brett Favre, it's another. Such is the life of the 41-year-old NFL quarterback.
Brett Favre Leaves Game With Apparent Jaw Injury, Replaced By Tarvaris Jackson
Playing with fractures in his foot, Favre got hit hard late in the fourth quarter of the Vikings' game at New England today, and stayed down for a while after the play. Replay showed that Favre's chin was likely impacted by Myron Pryor's helmet, and Favre left the field with the aid of trainers. Favre's chin strap also appeared to have a fair amount of blood on it.
Favre has left the game and received treatment on the sidelines. Vikings trainers were paying special attention to his jaw. He has since been transported to the locker room on a cart, holding a towel to his chin. His return would appear questionable.
Favre was replaced by Tarvaris Jackson. On the next two plays, the Vikings scored a touchdown and a two-point conversion on Jackson passes.
