Dan Persa Injury: Northwestern QB Leaves Game After Throwing Go-Ahead Touchdown
Strangely, Persa was not knocked down during the play; he was barely, if at all, touched by an Iowa defender. It appeared as though someone may have stepped on his right foot.
During the play, Persa put the Wildcats in position for a big win over a Big Ten rival, but Persa’s injury is certainly cause for concern. Persa has had a monster day, throwing for over 300 yards and two touchdowns. The severity or exact nature of the injury is not yet known; we’ll update as soon as we learn more.
