Matt Schaub Misses Wednesday Practice After Surprise Hospital Visit

Texans quarterback Matt Schaub was hospitalized overnight Tuesday and missed the following day's practice because of a bursa sac injury in his right knee.

The quarterback did not undergo surgery. Houston head coach Gary Kubiak said the team doesn’t know the origin of the injury.

Schaub is still expected to play Sunday against the Jets in New Meadowlands Stadium. Peyton Manning was forced to undergo surgery in 2008 as a result of a bursa sac infection, which caused him to miss the preseason that year, but not any of the regular season. Of course, should Schaub have such a procedure now, he wouldn't be able to miss any playing time.
