Arizona quarterback Nick Foles, who has missed the past two and a half games with a dislocated kneecap he suffered against Washington State, is 100 percent, according to Wildcats head coach Mike Stoops who stopped short of naming Foles the starter for Saturday's showdown with Stanford.
Arizona’s Nick Foles Expected To Start Against Stanford
“Nick was a full participant in practice [Monday],” he said. “We feel good about that. I’m not going to divulge what we’re going to emphasize or who we’re to play. At this point, I feel comfortable in saying that Nick is 100 percent.”
Offensive coordinator Seth Littrell said last week that Foles would be the starter as soon as he was cleared to play, but the final call will ultimately come down to head coach Bob Stoops.
With Foles out, Matt Scott has filled in admirably by leading the Wildcats to wins over Washington State, Washington and UCLA. Scott has passed for over 700 yards, four touchdowns and only two picks in two and a half games. Expect Foles to get the nod in the biggest game to date for the Wildcats, as they take on the 15th-ranked Stanford Cardinal.
