NFL Week 12, Jaguars Vs. Giants: Manning, Giants Hold On To Win, 24-20

Garrard has completed 12 of 21 passes for 102 yards and one touchdown. RB Maurice Jones-Drew has 14 carries for 86 yards. RB Rashard Jennings has seven carries for 53 yards and one touchdown.

For the Giants, QB Eli Manning has completed nine of 16 passes for 108 yards. RB Brandon Jacobs has carried the ball 10 times for 48 yards.

Jaguars have continued to look to their ground game, getting both Jones and Jennings involved early. Jones-Drew has carried the ball ten times for 73 yards, with Jennings holding his load as well, with seven carries for 53 yards.

Neither team has turned the ball over thus far, which is surprising. The Jaguars have possessed the football for 17 minutes and have 14 first downs, while the Giants have had it for 11 minutes. and have only seven first downs.

As expected, there has been plenty of offense early on in New Meadowlands Stadium. Both teams are moving the football at will and operating with a lot of balance. Jacksonville has been a bit more run-heavy, with Jones-Drew leading the way (6 carries for 58 yards).

On their opening drive, it appeared Hagan fumbled inside of the ten-yard line while the Giants were driving. Jacksonville recovered the “fumble.” The play was challenged though, and reversed. Giants then settled for a field goal and jumped out to a 3-0 lead.

Yet when the Jacksonville Jaguars take the field at New Meadowlands Stadium to face the New York Giants on Sunday, they’ll do so with the equal footing that a matching 6-4 record through 10 games provides. Even if perception doesn’t necessarily reflect that reality.
