National Football Post - Scouts notebook: defense
Wes Bunting notes some players on defense that he's been impressed with and a couple that have been lackluster. Virgnia cornerback Chase Minnifield is among those getting cheered, and for good reason. National audiences got to see Minnifield pick apart the Miami offense with two interceptions last Saturday. The junior has six picks on the year and is someone to watch. Get Bunting's offensive notes here.

Sporting News - A new mock draft
This is kind of nuts. They have Dallas taking California defensive end Cameron Jordan second overall. Jordan is a good player, but not that good.

JB Scouting - Weekly stock report
If you’ve always wanted to get a better grasp on small-school prospects, JB Scouting is the place to go. Check out this week’s movers to learn about guys no one knows about.

ESPN.com - HBCU players who could play in NFL
Writer dishes on some players from historically all-black schools that could make it in the NFL. The best is probably productive Hampton defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis.

Houston Chronicle - A&M’s Fuller may come back for more
The talented Texas A&M wide receiver that few talk about is leaning toward returning for his senior season. On the year, Fuller has 55 receptions for 858 yards and 11 touchdowns.

ESPN.com (Insider) - Mel Kiper ranks the top five non-seniors by position
Kiper is starting to fall in love with Cam Newton. One player that Kiper ranks that no one talks about is Texas Tech Temple defensive tackle Muhammed Wilkerson. He’s 6-foot-5, 305 pounds and quick.

Bleeding Green Nation - A far too early look at the Eagles’ potential draft targets JimmyK breaks down the Eagles, noting that they need offensive linemen first and foremost. Trouble for the Eagles is that this is a bad draft for such a need.
